TAKHZYRO® atHOME®
TAKHZYRO atHOME is a nationwide program developed by Takeda Australia to help people with hereditary angioedema (HAE) get the most out of their TAKHZYRO (lanadelumab) treatment.
TAKHZYRO atHOME aims to help build your patient's confidence to self-inject TAKHZYRO and manage their health. The program provides access to additional resources and services your patient may need for their treatment.
What services are available?
Delivery of self-injection supplies
Self-injection supplies delivered to their home, including a sharps container, alcohol swabs and an optional gel cool pack for post-injection site comfort.
Reminder service
Patients can opt in to receive reminders via SMS and/or email to help them keep track of their treatment. Reminders include:
- New Prescriptions reminders
to schedule an appointment with their doctor
- New Pharmacy call reminders
to remind them to call their pharmacy to ensure they order the medication in advance, prior to collection
- Treatment reminders sent the day before their next treatment date, to help them keep track of their dosing schedule.
Educational resources
Patients can access online resources and videos including a step-by-step injection animation to help them learn how to administer TAKHZYRO using their pre-filled syringe. They’ll also receive initial monthly emails to support their understanding and treatment experience.
Program support
Dedicated telephone and email support is available to help your patient with any questions about the program. Contact information can be found at the back of their program guide booklet. This support offering can also assist with replacing a damaged TAKHZYRO pre-filled syringe. The program coordinator will send a replacement pre-filled syringe to your patient’s pharmacy for collection, if they require this.
